General Policy
- CDEF Debt offers a free consultation to discuss your financial situation and determine if our debt relief program is the right fit for you. There is no obligation to enroll in our program after the consultation.
- We typically charge a fee after successfully reducing your debt through negotiation with your creditors. The specific fee structure will be clearly explained during your free consultation.
Refundable Fees
In limited circumstances, a refund may be available for the following:
Cancellation Before Service Begins:
If you decide to cancel your enrollment in our debt relief program before we begin services on your behalf (such as contacting creditors), you may be eligible for a full refund of any fees paid.
Material Changes to Program:
If there are material changes to the debt relief program that were not disclosed during your consultation, you may be eligible for a prorated refund based on the services not yet rendered.
Non-Refundable Fees
Fees for Services Rendered:
Refunds will not be granted for services already performed on your behalf, such as initial consultations, creditor analysis, or program setup.
Unsuccessful Debt Settlement:
Debt settlement negotiations with creditors involve uncertainties. If negotiations are unsuccessful, no refunds will be issued for program fees as we have still invested time and effort on your case.
How to Request a Refund
If you believe you are eligible for a refund, please contact us in writing within 30 days of the date the fee was paid.
